857

The commandant, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, Air Vice Marshal Sani Labaran Rabe, today, 31 October 2023, reassured the AFIT community that the Institute will continue to support the manpower development of sister Services across Africa. He gave the assurance while decorating a newly promoted Ghanaian Air Force Officer, Flight Lieutenant EK Kabutey, currently studying Master of Science in Aerospace Vehicle Design in AFIT.

AVM Rabe expressed satisfaction with the behavior of the officer, noting that he had great potentials and would excel in the Ghanaian Air Force if he maintains his zeal for academic excellence. He appreciated the Officer’s adopted parents in Nigeria, Mr and Mrs Oyedeji, as well as Ghanaian officers and friends who came to witness the decoration ceremony. He stated that promotion comes from God but man has been granted the ability to pursue promotion in life. He added that Kabutey’s promotion was an attestation to his commitment and dedication to duty while charging him to justify the elevation by being an exemplary ambassador of the Ghanaian Air Force.

In his remarks, Flight Lieutenant Kabutey thanked the Commandant, AFIT Community and the Ghanaian Air Force for finding him worthy and deserving of the promotion. He considered it a great privilege to be decorated by the Commandant and prayed that the cordial relationship between AFIT and sister Services should be maintained.
