The Registrar, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, Air Cdre MS Lawal, today, 30 October 2023, encouraged students to focus on their studies as they prepare for their second semester examination. Air Cdre Lawal who admonished students to uphold the academic excellence AFIT is known for, urged them to desist from any form of examination malpractice during an interactive session with students of the Institute. According to him, the Institute has zero tolerance for indiscipline or any form of misconduct and any student who misbehaved would be rusticated from the School.

He noted that majority of the students were diligent and committed to their studies. He therefore advised those who may be tempted to misbehave to abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute. He added that attendance in class is compulsory as all efforts would be made to ensure that the standards set by AFIT were maintained by all students. He warned students that those who arrive at any examination centre 30 minutes after the commencement of any paper would not be allowed to take that examination.

Earlier, the Commandant, AFIT, Air Vice Marshal Sani Labaran Rabe, encouraged students to study and move in groups as a security measure especially at night.  He urged those who may be involved in drugs to willingly and voluntarily report themselves for rehabilitation as anyone caught after October 2023 would be rusticated from the School. He reiterated the School’s policy on non-use of any substance and promised to ensure that the policy was enforced.
