AFIT GRADUATES 775 STUDENTS FOR THE 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna graduated 775 students from various departments during the 2022/2023 convocation ceremony. Out of the graduated students, 14 graduates were awarded Master of Aerospace Engineering, 75 graduates were awarded Postgraduate Diploma, 107 graduates were awarded Bachelor of Science and 579 students were awarded Higher National Diploma (HND) respectively.
Out of 111 graduates of Degree programmes, 20 of them had First Class Honours in various departments. The valedictorian Mr Olawale Akanji who graduated with a CGPA of 4.99 from Cyber Security Department has been awarded a direct PhD scholarship at Boston University in the United States.
The event which took place at the Ibrahim Alfa Auditorium on Saturday 10 June 2023 had the Governor of Kaduna State His Excellency Senator Uba Sani who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Dr. Halliru Musa as Special Guest of Honour and the Chairman AFIT Governing Council and Chief of Staff Air Marshal IO Amao in attendance.
In his presentation, the Special Guest of Honour, the Governor of Kaduna State His Excellency Senator Uba Sani urged the graduates to draw on the many investments of knowledge, skills and intellectual competences that they have been exposed to during their stay at the Air Force Institute of Technology in order to carve a niche for themselves in other future endeavors. He further stated that without doubt, the youths are the driving force of any nation’s development. Their resourcefulness, energy, drive, determination, analytical skills, creativity and tenacious pursuit of success cannot be lightly spoken of in the development and growth of any nation.
The Commandant, Air Force Institute of Technology, Air Vice Marshal Paul Olugbeji Jemitola earlier in his address charged the graduated students to continue to embody the same spirit of excellence that they exhibited while at AFIT.
Among the highlights of the convocation ceremony was the presentation of awards to the graduates that distinquished themselves in their respective areas and courses of study. Souvenirs were also presented to the Special Guest of Honour, Chairman AFIT Governing Council, AVM UN Udeagulu (Rtd).

All newly admitted DE students are to print their admission letter from JAMB CAPS and report to AFIT for registration from 18 to 22 Nov 24. Registration for newly admitted students closes 22 Nov 24.
