75

The Commandant, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Air Vice Marshal AK Ademuwagun, yesterday 1 December, 2025 advised foreign students studying in the Institute to take their studies seriously and make good use of the sporting facilities within the university.

AVM Ademuwagun gave the counsel when he met with foreign students undergoing studies in AFIT. He stated that the essence of the interaction was to have a first-hand knowledge of their welfare and challenges if any. He urged them to take advantage of their stay in the country to learn about the culture, customs and traditions of their immediate host communities. He promised to provide necessary assistance for those who may want to visit other locations within the country to enrich their experience and make their studies more pleasurable.

The Commandant added that as a tripartite institution of higher learning, AFIT remains the most suitable institution of higher learning for them within the northern axis of the country as it blends both military and civil cultures together. He remarked that AFIT has trained foreign students from various African countries and will continue to do so to promote mutual growth.

The foreign students, who were mainly military officers, arrived Nigeria in October, 2025 to commence their studies. They described their experience during their short stay as pleasant, adding that they would like to visit other cities within Nigeria before the end of their programme.
