On behalf of the entire staff and students of the Faculty, I hereby welcome you to the Faculty of Science, Air Force Institute of Technology, Nigeria, webpage.
The Faculty consists of five (5) Departments and one (1) unit namely:
- Department of Chemistry
- Department of Mathematics
- Department of Physics
- Department of Physics with Electronics
- Department of Statistics
- Biology Unit

The Faculty of Science is committed to excellence and innovation in technology-enhanced teaching that creates scientific knowledge and infuses the thrill of discovery, determination, independence, critical thinking, integrity in our students, and research that is relevant to the needs of Nigeria Air Force and the society at large.
Our Vision:
To make the Faculty of Science a learning and research-intensive faculty that will transform into a leading Faculty.
Our Mandate:
- To foster an intellectual environment conducive to learning and research excellence and to the training and mentoring of highly qualified students.
- To provide the infrastructure and services essential to support the training of undergraduate and graduate students and leading-edge research.
- To support and promote basic and applied research excellence in areas of established strength and emerging opportunity while recognizing the freedom of the faculty to pursue individual research interests based on their judgement, skill, and curiosity.
