AIR VICE MARSHAL MOHAMMED AMINU YAKUBU TAKES OVER AS THE 11TH AFIT COMMANDANT

AVM MA Yakubu takes over as the 11th Commandant of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Kaduna on the 10th January 2022 from his predecessor AVM MO Olatunji. Speaking in his address, AVM Yakubu revealed that his vision is“to build an institution that is the best among equals in Nigeria and among the top ranking universities in the world”.
AVM Yakubu mentioned in his address that the military is a driving force behind innovations and will be motivated by ideas borne from team work. Hence he urged that the team should be focused to make the Institute a leading University.
In his farewell remarks, the out gone Commandant AVM MO Olatunji thanked the Chief of the Air Staff for giving him the opportunity to serve as Commandant AFIT. He also appreciated everyone for their efforts and urged that all hands must be on deck to ensure that facilities, machineries and standards of the Institute are improved and maintained.
