THE INSTITUTE LIBRARY
AFIT Library has the responsibility of providing information resources such as books current journals reports and electronic based materials, among others in support of its teaching and research mandates. The library has a sitting capacity of 250 and a 40-seater e-library section. AFIT library is committed to excellence in scientific and technical information dissemination as well as support for R & D of the Institute. It provides access to latest and well organized information resources and services.
The library acquires daily and weekly local and international newspapers and magazines of various organizations. This is in addition to monthly/annual reports and news bulletins. Other services provided in the library include photocopying, current awareness, book loan and inter library loan. Staff and students of the Institute are entitled to make use of the library facilities on membership basis. Access to the Institute library database is through controlled internet protocol (IP) addressing on and off campus. The opening hours of the library are:
- Mondays – Fridays 8:00 am – 10:00 pm.
- Saturdays – Sundays 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
