The programme, \u201cwhich is a flagship youth civic engagement programme of NOA,\u201d was designed to foster national integration, promote critical thinking and amplify youth voices in public discourse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2260\" srcset=\"https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate1-86x64.jpg 86w, https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The students, Pelumi Abigail of Accounting Department and Great John of Economics department, handled the state-level debate topic, \u2018Analysing how digital technologies and innovative thinking can unlock entrepreneurial potential and drive inclusive economic growth\u201d. They proceeded to the next stage where they addressed the topic, \u201cUnity in Diversity: Defining Nigeria\u2019s Identity in Nigeria\u2019s Multicultural Society\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate3-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2261\" srcset=\"https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate3-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate3-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate3-450x300.jpg 450w, https:\/\/afit.edu.ng\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/debate3.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Director General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu, expressed gratitude to the Air Force Institute of Technology for the effective participation of the Institute in the competition. He noted that the presence of the Institute had elevated the spirit of constructive engagement among Nigerian youths. According to him, the voice of the students had inspired many just as their arguments had enlightened the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Provost of the Institute, Professor Auwal Kasim, expressed delight at the performance of the AFIT students.
