AFIT WILL COOPERATE WITH AIR TRAINING COMMAND – RABE ASSURES DARI

The Commandant, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Kaduna, Air Vice Marshal Sani Labaran Rabe, has assured the Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command (AOC ATC), Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Yusuf Dari of the continuous commitment of AFIT to the operational success of the Command.  AVM Rabe gave the assurance during the courtesy visit of the AOC ATC to AFIT as part of his familiarization tour of military formations within his Area of Responsibility (AOR). The Commandant added that the synergy and effective working relations existing between the Institute and co-located units will be sustained.

AVM Rabe described the AOC ATC as a friend who was not new to the environment having held 8 different appointments in AFIT and was also the Commander of 401 Flying Training School before his present appointment. He commended the AOC and expressed confidence in his ability to keep to his promise to address accommodation challenges within the Command.

Earlier, AVM Dari had reassured the Commandant that the support AFIT benefited from his predecessor will not only continue, but will be improved upon to address some of the security challenges within his AOR. He equally commended the leadership role of the Commandant and staff of the Institute in building human capacity for the NAF. Furthermore, AVM Dari said one of his major tasks as the AOC was to ensure the provision of transit accommodations for at least 400 Airmen/Airwomen to reduce the accommodation challenges of the Command. He added that under his leadership, the command will continue to consult and would be open to functional advice that would move the Command forward.
