AFIT ENLIGHTENS STUDENTS OF WARRANT OFFICERS ACADEMY ON RESEARCH IN THE INSTITUTE

The students of Warrant Officers Academy Course 43/2024 were today, 26 January, 2024 enlightened on AFIT research and development efforts. The Commandant, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), AVM SL Rabe, who was represented by the Director, Centre for Technical and Vocational Training, Group Captain OJ Alabi, encouraged the students to make good use of the knowledge gained during the training tour. He stated that AFIT has contributed significantly to research and development in aerospace and remains a critical component of the Nigerian Air Force research and development efforts.

Earlier, the Commandant, Warrant Officers Academy, Brigadier General AC Mahmuda, who was represented by the Team leader, Lieutenant Colonel IO Kolawole, had explained that the study tour was to expose the students to the practical demonstration of instructions as well as ongoing research efforts in the Institute. He observed that AFIT had undergone tremendous development in the area of infrastructure between the last study tour and now.  He therefore thanked the Commandant, AFIT, for providing the enabling environment as well as the experienced instructors who imparted knowledge to the students during the tour.
