AFIT INUGURATES INITIAL LICENCE PREPARATORY COURSE 11

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Kaduna, has inaugurated its 11th Initial License Preparatory Course (ILPC 11/2005)for the year 2025/2026 at the Benjamin Mosugu Hall of the Institute. The Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Adeniran Kolade Ademuwagun, who was represented by Group Captain KF Yelwa (Rtd), said that the ceremony marks the beginning of an important academic and professional journey for participants to become licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.

Gp Capt Yelwa (rtd) stated that AFIT has consistently demonstrated its commitment to producing well-trained aviation professionals who can compete globally and therefore urged the participants to embrace the opportunity with determination and a positive spirit.

Earlier, the Head of Training, Squadron Leader L Haruna, remarked that the ILPC remains a cornerstone in AFIT’s aviation training mandate providing a structured and intensive pathway for students preparing for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licensing Examinations. He said that the programme ensures that participants are adequately grounded in technical knowledge, precision and safety principles. Furthermore, he disclosed that AFIT has invested in highly qualified instructors, modern laboratories, simulation tools and standard maintenance training facilities to deliver world-class instructions aligned with regulatory requirements and industry expectations.
